The silver salmon are in the Delta Clearwater tributary of the Tanana river offering up some excellent opportunities for Coho fishing.
The late freeze-up means that local area lakes are still open for some last minute fishing fun.
The hatchery crew has been out stocking some local lakes with feisty, little king salmon. Try fishing: Chena Lake, Otto Lake, Birch Lake, North Pole Pond, Bathing Beauty Pond, Cushman Lake, and Quartz Lake, as well as Eielson AFB lakes: Grayling and Polaris.
