2016 Columbia River Fishing Report

Large numbers of spring chinook are entering the Columbia and the Willamette… Will the catch rates sustain with all the above normal weather headed our way?

Just a reminder,  The Columbia river fishery is only open above Bonnevile. Huge numbers have moved up this system , but will it last? The wind River and Drano have improved with limits or near limits per boat. Trolling super baits is so effective that this technique has been discovered this year. Fishing above the Dalles and John Day has improved if you are sitting in the right line on anchor or trolling. The key is to mix it up if you are not getting bit.
