The fishing on the Cowlitz River has been fair to good. A few fish are starting to be caught at the mouth of Toutle and good numbers at the barrier Dam as well.
Drifting roe has been producing pretty good results, but sand shrimp and twitching jigs can be effective as well.
If your looking for a good place to fish for salmon the Cowlitz is a good option.
