Latest Report From the ODFW –
COQUILLE RIVER BASIN: salmon, crab
Steelhead fishing was good on the South Fork Coquille River from Powers to Broadbent. The North Fork Coquille is now running low and clear. The mainstem Coquille is still running a little muddy. In the Coquille Basin one additional hatchery steelhead may be retained per day for a total aggregate of three adult fish harvested daily.
Crabbing will be slow in the Coquille due to the amount of freshwater in the bay from the recent rain. It is still recommended you discard the crab viscera (guts/butter) before cooking.
