Wallace River Fishing:

The Wallace River near Sultin, WA is home to several species of Salmon as well as Steelhead and is considered one of the best places to fish in the Puget Sound area. Although King Salmon run the Wallace Chinook retention is not allowed. Never fear, there are plenty of Coho and Steelhead brewing in these water and you won’t regret the trip. This river is catch and release pretty much year round, but from mid August till the end of October it is open to Salmon fishing, June to Feb 5th Trout.

This fishery generally allows 4 Coho per day, Min size of 12″ in length.

Tackle Tips:
Top Recommendation for this location is drifting salmon eggs or jig under a bobber, Covering water with spoons or spinners or drifting eggs off the bottom.

Combat Fishing Rating:

Hand to Hand. During the peak of the runs it can get pretty crowed at some the fishing hot spots. Eye protection recommended!
