A day on the Skykomish River, Steelhead are tapering off but anglers are still catching them here and there. The king run is a little spotty this year. Small schools are coming up so, you’ll be hole hunting when you get there. Kings are still being caught but the season closes at the end of the month and it is uncertain if there be one last big push with the current lack of rain.
Spoke with my guy at the Hatchery and he’s saying they have already attained 1700 0f the 2500 fish quota for the year, but the runs are not coming in hot and heavy as they have in the past. Look for things to pick up on the Sky in the fall.
