Skagit River Lunker Alert!!!

 

Summer Sockeye season on the Skagit ends two weeks earlier for 2014, plus daily Limit decreases by one.

2014 Sockeye Season opener on the Skagit starts June 14th – June 29th this year.

Open to Fishing for Salmon (Area Code 830)  from Hwy. 536 at Mt. Vernon (Memorial Hwy. Bridge) to mouth of Gilligan Creek.

 

The daily limit for 2014 is only 2 Sockeye per day instead of the three that was allowed last year.

 

If you’re interested in taking advantage of this small window of opportunity. Be aware Sockeye fishing is only open in the lower Skagit from HWY 536 in Mt Vernon to Memorial HWY Bridge all other areas are closed for Sockeye.
