I love camping and one of my biggest passions is fishing. I wanted to put together a list of my favorite campsite in Oregon which offer great fishing opportunities. I have also put together a list if you are looking at camping in Alaska which is a magical place to head off to and get lost in the wilderness.
Wallowa Lake – Oregon State Parks

There is absolutely loads to do here you can go swimming, boating and even take a gondola tramway journey that runs to the top of 8,150-foot Mt. Howard. Fishing Dock at Bull Prairie Lake – USDA
- Bull Prairie Campground, Umatilla National Forest, South of Heppner
The ultimate fishing lake this campground is set beautifully in the Blue Mountains. Pitch a tent under the ponderosas, cast a line from the dock, or ramble along the gorgeous lake trail. The lake is stocked annually with trout. This site is operated by the forest service.

A Camping holiday is a great way to connect with nature. My personal view of camping is that if you can combine it with an outdoor pursuit, like fishing, walking, climbing or mountain biking it enhances your absorption with your experience. Strawberry Campground – USDA
- Strawberry Campground, Malheur National Forest, South of Prairie City
This is a perfect hideaway with only 11 pitches is located high in the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness. Little Strawberry Lake is stocked full of trout. The Stream fishing here is superb right along the Creek which runs along the campground. Rainbow Trout are the main fish you will catch in the creek. If you like to walk then there is a great 6-mile long trail which takes you from the campground trailhead on a circular trip taking in some wonderful scenery. The site is operated by the forest service

Fishing Lost Lake – USDA
Sit and watch dawn break over Mt Hood as it is illuminated pink. At the Lost Lake Resort and Campground sites 1–31 look straight at the volcano. A fishing license enables you to troll the walter at your own leisure. There are rumors that there are 50-pound trout with beards made of thousands of dollars worth of lures.

Clackamas River Below Fish Creek – CC Wikepedia

Fish Creek Campground is well located next to the Clackamas River in Mt. Hood National Forest. It provides access to some of the area’s greatest whitewater, as well as a famous place to fish there’s something for everyone at Fish Creek.
Fishing is very popular on the Clackamas and anglers can expect to find winter steelhead, spring chinook and late summer coho salmon, as well as other species of freshwater fish. A convenient boat ramp is available within the campground.
