Van Winkle creek is a small creek that originates at Lake Aberdeen and empties out into the Chehalis River. In the case of old Van Winkle size doesn’t matter, because Van Winkle creek is home to a varity of species of Salmon as well as Steelhead getting hefty runs of each every year. There are only a few Van Winkle Creek fishing access points that will get you on the creek and it’s muddy a little hard to navigate at times. Still the time spent slipping and sliding on this little creek is well worth the effort if your looking to hook up with Kings, Coho, Chum and especially Steelhead.
