2017 Wallace River Fishing Report:

 

WDFW FISHING RULE CHANGE

 

Wallace River re-open for fishing

Action: Re-opens portions of the Wallace River to fishing for trout (steelhead) and gamefish.

Effective dates and times: Jan. 26 through Feb. 15, 2017.

Species affected: Trout and gamefish.

Locations:

  • Wallace River:  From the railroad trestle (downstream of Hwy 2 bridge) to 200 feet upstream of water intake at Wallace hatchery.

Other Information: Please refer to the 2016/2017 Washington Sport Fishing Rules regulation pamphlet for the current rules.

Reason for action:  This emergency rule is needed to reopen the Wallace River. The winter steelhead egg take goals for the Snohomish hatcheries have now been met.
