Another day of limits on the Big Quil. I was a little late to the scene this morning showing up at 7:00 AM, wasn’t there long though, limited out and was headed home by 9:00 AM. There is a ton of Coho still in the river, lots of chum too.
At the wall hole everyone was limiting out, even with the tribes netting the rapids. This is the peak of the run and some of the coho are starting to turn. Still plenty of bright ones, but you might have to play a little catch and release until you find one to your liking.
It’s been a great season on the Big Quil. If you looking for Coho there should be at least another week of good fishing left. I know I have caught my fair share and you can too. If your in need of some good coho fishing, get your pole and hit the big Quil, it’s well worth the trip.
