The latest reports from Bill Swan of Swanny’s Fishing are that the water on the Columbia is cold with visibility at about 3-4 feet. There is still some catch and release sturgeon fishing going on above the Bonnevile dam, but the Key note to this river system right now is that the smelt are starting to enter the river. When that happens! The Springers start showing up as well to feed on those smelt and unfortunately those pesky sea lions too. Get your boat ready! It’s almost springer time.
