2015 Skykomish River Fishing Report:

Got ahold of my friend Ryan Hung of Reel Priorities today. The word on the Skykomish is that the steelhead fishing has been tough going for most guys. Ryan himself has been able to get his limits but he knows those waters like the back of his hand. Pitching eggs and covering waters with spinners is what has been working for him.

If it’s Steelhead your looking for the Cowlitz is a better option. As far as the Skykomish river salmon run a few pinks have been caught and Coho should be coming up in good numbers around the beginning of October.

with a little rain, we should see some of the salmon that have been staging in the Snohomish work their way up the Skykomish after water levels rise a bit.

Best bets are to hit the confluence where the Skykomish meets up with the Snoqualmie and  Snohomish.

This concludes our 2015 Skykomish River Fishing Report.
