The Steelhead numbers at the Barrier dam are running around 20 fish per day in the fish trap. This is slower than normal and is an indication that many of the late winter steelhead run hasn’t pushed up the river. Also, Spring Chinook are starting to show making the Cowlitz a go-to for both Steelhead and Chinook. Our Steelhead fishing forecast for the Cowlitz id good to great.
