The spring Chinook run has tapered off on the Cowlitz, but the summer run steelhead are starting to show in decent numbers. Right now the Steelhead fishing is the most productive up by the barrier dam. Lots of bright fish being caught making the Cowlitz a good choice for summer steelhead fishing.
