Coquille RIVER: Salmon
Chinook and coho salmon fishing has been good on the lower Coquille River near the Hwy 101 Bridge up to Bear Creek. Anglers have been trolling cut plug herring behind flashers to catch salmon. Chinook are also being caught all the way upstream to Arago mostly on spinners. The wild coho season in Coquille is open until Nov. 30. Anglers are allowed to keep one wild coho per day and two for the season. A few wild coho have been caught in lower Coquille River this past week.
